Founder & CEO
Sarah is an Oscar-nominated and BAFTA-winning filmmaker turned digital distribution specialist. She was previously Head of Content at global ed-tech VOD platform Twig, and founder of broadcast television production company Clarity Productions. Sarah is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a member of BAFTA and the British Screen Advisory Council, and was named in the British Interactive Media Association's "Hot 100" 2014.
Richard has been leading the development of online applications for 16 years. He has broad experience across many sectors, including building content management systems for Coca-Cola and Channel 4, innovative scientific search databases for Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer, and video distribution platforms for the BBC and Shine Group. Richard was voted in the British Interactive Media Association's "Hot 100" 2016.
Anike was formerly Head of Marketing for iTunes Europe, responsible for iTunes, iBooks and the App Store across 27 European Markets. Prior to joining Apple, Anike spent nine years with American Express, latterly as Vice President of Global Network Services. Anike has also freelanced with various companies including Tate Modern.
Head of Product & Front-end Development
Patrick has 13 years of agency and freelance experience, and was previously based in New York as front-end SME at digital agency Barrel where he worked with clients including General Electric, KIND, New York Genome Center, and Columbia University. His work has won multiple awards and has been featured in Web Designer and NET magazine. He has produced developer tools used by companies including IBM, Campaign Monitor, Hootsuite, and Salesforce.
Head of Audience Marketing
Daniel began his career in brand strategy and research before moving into film marketing. He has managed social media campaigns for indie and blockbuster releases including 12 Years A Slave, Man Of Steel, The Hobbit, Filth, the social channels of Dimension Films (Weinstein Co.) and more. Daniel was previously working with independent filmmakers in Latin America before joining the Colony team.
Andrew started out at Think Money and Barclays Capital, before moving to online fashion company Cocosa building customer and in-house web applications.
Junior Acquisitions Executive
Alice achieved First Class Honours in Film and Literature at Warwick University before starting her career in film sales at sales agent Carnaby International. Alice later joined Colony in 2015 to grow the platform’s slate and develop relationships with filmmakers, distributors and sales agents.
Emma’s career began with a year-long Creative and Digital Media Apprenticeship funded by Creative Skillset. Since then she has worked on a number of BBC shows as a member of the Production team, including Autumnwatch, The One Show and Silent Witness.
Community & Partnerships Manager
Stephanie has over seven years experience in the film industry, including two years with Branchage Film Festival before managing partnerships for the UK’s largest filmmakers network, Shooting People. Before joining Colony she was working in international film sales.
Nicole graduated from Warwick University with a 1st Class Degree in Film and Literature. She interned for Total Film and The Producers before gaining marketing and social media experience at Raindance Film Festival.
Marion graduated from Axe Sud Design School with a Masters in Graphic Design. She worked for The World Cinema Festival of Sherbrooke in Canada as a graphic designer and communications assistant. Before joining Colony, Marion worked as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator.
Digital Content Manager
Olivier’s career began in the festival world with the Iris Prize and BFI Flare Film Festival, before he moved into freelance production and post-production work. Prior to joining Colony, he worked for UK distributor Peccadillo Pictures as Home Entertainment Manager.
Digital Content Specialist
Ryan graduated from GMIT with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Film and Documentary. He has worked on a variety of award-winning short films as a video editor, working freelance before joining Colony.
Vix brings over 10 years experience across UX and design working with clients including the BBC, Channel 4, the national Pitch to Rich campaign for Virgin Media and the National Trust. Her work on the National Trust MyFarm platform won her a BIMA Award.
Head of Culture
Betty is chief sleeper, snorer and motivational support. Her favourite film is All Dogs Go To Heaven (although she hates the sequel). Betty is a tech startup veteran, on loan to Colony thanks to BorrowMyDoggy.
Investor & Board Director
Amy Nauiokas is Founder and Chair of Archer Gray, a media production, financing and venture investment company, and Founder and President of Anthemis, the leading digital financial services investment and advisory firm. She is a visionary executive, venture capitalist, and producer; a recognized leader in innovation, strategic management, and results across a variety of markets and industries. Amy was previously CEO and Managing Director of Barclays Stockbrokers and Head of Electronic Sales & Trading at the Investment Bank.
Investor & Board Director
Dan began his career in Bahrain working for Citibank. He later moved to London, Zurich, Sydney and Hong Kong where he became involved in Mezzanine Finance and Emerging Market Equity. He ran Sales and Distribution for Frontier and Emerging Market Equities for UBS, Lehman and Deutsche Bank (DB) before being responsible for DB's Asset Management business in the Middle East. He helped start Algebra Capital, the first independent Fund Management firm in the Middle East, and is now responsible for raising capital for Frontier Market Funds. Dan sits on the Board of Lakson Investments, an Asset Management firm in Pakistan.
Investor & Board Director
Through Essex Innovation, Eduardo is currently co-investing in tech companies in the UK and Europe. He is also co-investing and on the Board of a fund that directly invests in IT in Israel. Eduardo is also a Board member at Biotins-Energia (Renewables), Essex Energy (Oil and Gas), Essex Resorts (Leisure) and a Partner at Saudibras (Real Estate development in Brazil). In the last year, the management of his, and his brother's, portfolio of activities was consolidated in GVAdvisors, a multi-family office that is based in Geneva.
Investor & Board Director
Jonathan is Chief Strategy Officer at Zone. Jonathan’s career began at the Guardian and the Observer, where among other projects he worked on the first launch of guardian.co.uk. After a few years working for a variety of football clubs around Europe, Jonathan returned to the UK, running digital projects for Channel 4 and lastminute.com. In 2005 he set up Public Zone based on his two passions, good causes and digital, and has delivered projects for more than 60 charities including the Nike Foundation and Unicef. Jonathan grew Public Zone to be the largest charity digital content specialist in the UK before integrating with Zone in 2011.
