The research is consistent: only 5% of companies are effectively using AI. The barrier is not awareness. The barrier is the last mile — translating AI capability into structural financial improvement. That requires capital to fund transformation to completion, AI expertise that goes beyond deploying off-the-shelf tools, implementation capability that stays until the business genuinely changes, and — for pre-listed companies — a credible path to the liquidity event that realises the value created.

23 years across growth equity, private equity, and listed company operations. Oversaw three IPOs across NASDAQ Dubai, Euronext, and NASDAQ US. Led or co-led over $1 billion in transactions.

Partner — Capital Markets & Listings

18 years in equity capital markets. 40+ listings and secondary offerings across NASDAQ Dubai, Euronext, and NASDAQ US. Specialist in cross-border listings and IPO structuring.

Partner — AI Research & Technology

DPhil in Machine Learning, University of Oxford. Principal architect of our AI technology stack. Built Probabilistic Problem Models (PPMs) as a domain-specific alternative to LLMs for business problem solving.

Partner — Engineering & Implementation

Former CTO and co-founder of two venture-backed technology companies, one listed on NASDAQ Dubai. 15 years building and scaling engineering teams and operational AI deployments.

Partner — Finance & Portfolio Operations

Previously CFO at two listed companies (NASDAQ Dubai and Euronext). Qualified in IFRS and US GAAP. Experience preparing companies for DIFC, SEC, and FCA regulatory frameworks.

Our story

Built to solve
a specific problem.

Every investment we analysed had the same underlying issue: a company with strong fundamentals, a team that knows what needs to change, and capital that doesn't come with the capability to make change happen. Or capability that doesn't come with capital.

We built We Are Colony to be both things at once. The AI research came from academia. The implementation capability came from building and running companies. The capital markets expertise came from doing 40-plus IPOs. The finance capability came from running listed company P&Ls.

We found each other because we were all looking for the same vehicle — one that could invest in businesses with significant AI upside, transform them properly, and deliver the capital event that made the returns real.
